The band: The ZYGOTEENS are a punk/pop trio from Milwaukee WI. The band was formed through a love of junk food and caffeine, and the desire to play catchy-punk music. They played their first show on December 31, 2008 and have been playing as much as possible ever since. Jake plays guitar and sings, Milam plays bass, and Adam plays drums. Some of the various bands that they've been involved with in the past include THE GUT REACTIONS and PLEXI 3. The band has a serious love and affection for early 90's cable television and drink lots of soda. Some of their key influences include: THE REAL KIDS, THE MODERN LOVERS, THE GIZMOS, and THE DICTATORS. Their debut release was a split with THE HUSSY on Big Action Records which came out in January of 2010.

The record: The songs of the ZYGOTEENS are usually kind of fast, pretty loud, and only usually in-tune and ­on-beat. Under the layers of fuzz, snapped guitar strings and busted drum sticks are well crafted pop-songs that are surprisingly sincere and delivered in an immense outpouring of passion and energy. The songs represented on the “Sleeping With The Stereo On” EP are very autobiographical and cover all bases as to what the band is interested in: girls, sleeping, and watching TV. These songs have the right hooks to provide the soundtrack for your late-night summer dance parties AND the right lyrics if you can't make it to the party because you didn't wanna go outside so you just decide to fall asleep while watching TV ... OR if you're at the party and you see that girl you have a crush on in the arms of some other jerk. So whatever you're doing on Saturday night, these songs have got ya covered!

The band: TERRIBLE FEELINGS are four twenty-somethings from Sweden: Manuela sings, Anton plays guitar and sings, Willy plays bass and Andy plays drums. Together they play absolutely fantastic black angst-ridden power-pop! And that’s basically it! Listen and believe! Well, due to the fact that these kinda info-sheets should carry some kinda info for uninspired people who don’t know what to write about the music, here you have some unfiltered info-schlock: The hometown of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS is Malmö, a world-famous city for cool Punkrock- and Hardcore-bands like Fy Fan, Skitkids, Herätys, Hårda Tider, Sista Sekunden, Dipper and Slöa Knivar. The band TERRIBLE FEELINGS formed in the fall of 2009, and their basic impetus was to do something that was thoroughly thought through and set them apart from other punk bands in their town. Members of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS play/have played in various other bands and projects, some very cool, some not even good. But due to the fact that namedropping sucks, I’m sure you’ll find out about those other bands on your own (if you care).
The band once described their sound as "sorta DISCHARGE meets LOST SOUNDS mixed with surf-guitars and 80ies Swedish punkrock. Or something. It's very melodic." Rob Seaton from Canada voted them "AMAZING!!!" when his band STATUES shared stage with them in Malmö. Guess what. .. he’s right! They recorded a superb ­4-song-demo in early 2010, that got re-released on 7inches-vinyl by Erste Theke Tonträger. Besides of their 2-song-debut-single "Tied Up" on Timmeheiehumme Records they’ve got another 2-song-7inch scheduled as a split-release between Sabotage Records (Germany) and Manuela’s new label some time later in 2011. TERRIBLE FEELINGS will tour Germany and Europe in June 2011 and it’ll be huge!!!

This record: I immediately fell in love with this band when I heard their 4-track-demo early in 2010. It was perfect! I fell even more in love with them when I saw them live in fall 2010! Actually just four people standing on stage. But when they started playing they generated this incomparable energy, it was unbelievable! Could it get any better? Yeah! I am the lucky one to release the debut-single of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS! And they got even better than they were on the demo! I hope you’ll notice the supremacy of this band, as soon as you drop the needle and listen to the first notes of "Tied Up"! Incredible! And when "No Meaning" is over spin the record and play it again and again and again! Will TERRIBLE FEELINGS be the "soon to be Punkrock-world-dominators" or the "hipsters-don’t-like" band? I dunno! All I know is that they do marvelous music and they did an awesome debut-record. I’m very proud to release this platter and that’s the only thing that counts!

The band: If you want namedropping you’ve got it: IDLE HANDS, ANATOL, COLT SEAVERS or ŠIMAK are just a few of the many bands that the members of THE MISSING SHADOWS played or currently play in. Being part of the very agile scene around Osnabrück-Ibbenbüren-Münster in northwestern Germany, THE MISSING SHADOWS are a well known name for all lovers of DIY-Punkrock/Hardcore.
In times of mp3 and digital-shit these cool fuckers released their first 6-Song-Tape (!!!) on My Ruin Records in 2006, followed by their highly appreciated LP “Western Waste” in 2007 (a CoRelease of P.Trash, Matula Records und Drugcontrol).
THE MISSING SHADOWS mix up wild and nervous oldschool-punkrock with fine melodies and ­singalongs, somewhere between ANGRY SAMOANS, WIPERS, HÜSKER DÜ and younger bands like AGGRAVATION, TOYOTAS or the aforementioned IDLE HANDS. Or as the band says themselves: “Our Rock will fuck you!”
